This mattress has a cashmere & wool cover with latex foam and memory foam. We used febreeze and smoke odor eliminator spray but it still has a smokey odor when you get your nose right in it. It’s a $1999 mattress that I can buy for $799!

ok i have a home remedy …. it has worked for me my parents were heavy smoking parents so i tryed a 1/2 cup of pinesol 1/2 cup of febreeze and 6 cups of warm water and sponge just rub the solution as if your were wippind down a stain

I want to purchase a HEMNES queen size bed frame, but I am not sure if I can use it with a regular mattress. Like a mattress and box spring set from Leon’s. Can I do this? Or do I need to use Ikea’s Foam Mattress as I really rather not.

yes, i do. with box spring you don’t need to buy the wooden plank looking things.

Ok real quik, is it possible to find a king size futon frame… N if i can’t lets say i got a queen frame but a king mattress would that fit… N has anyone heard of Soybean Foam Mattresses (r they comfy, yes/no)

We recently bought a 3" memory Foam Mattress pad for our sofa bed to make it more comfortable for guests. Does anybody have any idea on how we can store this mattress pad during the day when it’s not being used?

If you are tight on storage space
store it under a bed
inbetween matress and box spring

If not then just roll it up and put something around it. string, bungy cord, strap

I went to ikea the other day and tried out all kinds of beds, to my surprise, the best and most comfortable was the "sultan hasselbeck", a spring mattress. but ofcourse, the best most comfortable beds EVER has to be be tempurpedic beds (foam)…..but who can actually afford those?!
whew, mattress topper? thats new to me. I’ve heard of the mattress pad before but now a "topper"…the bedding industry definitely has changed dramatically the past 5 years. I thought a comfortable good mattress along was good enough, but nowadays you need boxspring, mattress pad, wood frame, $100 pillows, exotic sheets, covers, bla bla bla bla. can I sleep already?! lol

Memory Foam is definately the best. A friend of mine has memory foam mattresses and they are the best thing I have ever layed on. Springs push against your body but memory foam curves to your body so you can get a better nights sleep and relieve back pain and pressure. They also have pillows (go feel one and you will know what I am talking about). You can buy memory Foam Mattresses from stores like Sams and JC Penny. Other stores like Wal Mart &Target sell matresses toppers and pillows but I’m not sure about the full matress set. Hope I helped and I hope you find something comfortable that you like. If the memory foam is to $$$ just opt for buying a memory foam matress topper. You still get the same feel.

I just bought a used queen size bed and after sleeping on it for a few hours, I have discovered that it is EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Is there any way to make it more comfortable? do those Foam Mattress pad things really work? what are some good brands?

Foam toppers work great if you don’t want to shell out money for a new mattress. If you don’t mind spending a few hundred dollars on it, Tempur-Pedic (the best foam in the world is Tempur material) makes a foam topper that runs around $800 and will last you FOREVER not to mention cure any back problems you might have. If you don’t want to fork over that much, (which is understandable) a generic memory foam topper will work great too. You can find them at any Wal Mart.

I would like to get a new bed and I was looking into Tempur Pedics, but they are SO expensive. I heard about memory foam mattresses at Costco and wondered if they were just as good? How long they last? If you get a king size, does it leave impressions in the bed from where you lay at night? The bed I have right now hurts my back because there are deep impressions molded into it from where we sleep on it and I need something that will not do that.

We cannot afford a memory Foam Mattress this year, but we have a mattress topper, and it is s0oo great! Makes a older regular mattress like NEW !

I found the foam/ mattress damp and really smelly. Since it was already a little wet, I decided to wash it to remove the bad smell. My problem now is that it won’t dry up. It’s been a week and the inner part is still wet.

Stand it upright in a well vented location outside. The airflow through it will dry the core. After a day, rotate it 180 degrees.

I do not want one with memory foam or latex. I found a website: chem-tox.com that lists hundreds of health complaints.

What kind of mattress is the next best thing?
My husband also has a bad back.
