Tempurpedic Pillow For a Quieter Night’s Sleep

Did you know the solution to snoring may simply lie with changing to a tempurpedic pillow and mattress? Snoring may be associated with heath problems, and you may require a doctor’s help, but looking first at what you sleep on is a good start.

The Problem with Snoring

The fact is, snoring is bothersome for the one listening to it. But, it may have bad effects to the health of the snorer. Sleep apnea, where the sleeper stops breathing for a time and then snorts or snores, can be fatal or lead to disabling conditions. Some believe that any snoring could be a problem.

Begin with a Good Mattress

Fortunately, there are some simple adjustments you can make to alleviate snoring. And it all begins with a good mattress. Sleeping on your back has been proven to increase both the number of times and degree of snoring. An old mattress may not be as firm, and sag in between causing you to roll onto your back. Make sure your bed gives you the right support for your back so that your spine is properly aligned and your neck is on a good position.

Visco-Elastic Foam Mattress

A good mattress that can prevent sagging is one that is made from visco-elastic memory foam. Its unique feature is that it contours to your body, and at the same time support you with good firmness. And did I say it’s comfortable as well? These are features of the tempur material.

Once you have decided that your mattress is appropriate, take a look at your pillow. If your pillow is thin, you can be sure it’s is not doing your neck any good. Not to mention that the dust mites that make their dwelling in old bedding and pillows can cause your allergies to recur. This could very well cause your snoring to become worse.

The tempurpedic pillow helps support the neck the same way a tempurpedic mattress supports the back. It has a gentle curve that contours to the neck and spine. This decreases the floppiness in the throat that produces an obstructed airway. And a blocked air passageway is the main cause of snoring.

By choosing the right size pillows, you get the just the right curve for your neck. Kids should choose the junior size while most women require the small or medium. Small to average men should choose the medium, but taller or larger men may need the large pillow.

A recent study discovered that most snorers who made the switch to the memory foam pillow had a more productive day and felt more relaxed. Their partners also reported sleeping better because of less snoring.

Summary

While some snoring is dangerous and should be checked out by a doctor, changing your mattress and pillow can be helpful to most people. The tempurpedic foam mattress and pillow work together to align the spine and neck to allow for freer breathing and quieter nights.

Shopping for a mattress?

I work for a certain company and they have an employee store online. I need a new mattress bad and I have to choose from these choices. Im 6′4 and have no back problems

Choices are
——————
Felicity Pillowtop by Simmons Beautyrest
Spring Air Suite Excellence Plush Euro Top
Sealy Posturepedic Hospitality Collection
Sealy Hospitality Latex and Memory Foam
Stearns & Foster Hospitality Collection

Which one is the best in your opinion,

Thanks

King size; Sealy Posturepedic Hospitality Collection.

If you like a softer matress, go buy a separate feather bed. Overtime , the pillow tops which are all attached to your martess, will degenerate.

Hi! Where can I get a great deal on a Cal King mattress in the Los Angeles area?

Hello-
I just recently got married and although my wife and I are dealing with the tough economic times, as most of us are, we still need to sleep. It seems like I haven’t had a single nights sleep since I got married. We currently have a Select Comfort Sleep Number Queen bed. Although these are fairly good mattresses, at 6ft2in and 290lbs, I m use to sleeping on a queen alone! My wife only being allof 5ft and 100lbs takes up little space but she’s a "mover and shaker," as am I, while sleeping. Needless to say, we need a larger mattress.
I have been looking tirelessly. I found that the mattress that we like best sems to be the Eurotop’s with Memory Foam top. However, these are also the more expensive kind of mattress. I have been able to find a similar Eurotop at Sams Club for around $800, not including box! It would be a site unseen purchase which I really would prefer not to do, but atleast Sam’s has a return policy. I have heard of people getting great deals, but from where? Help!

Consider including Sunset Medical Products (Brea) in your research.

If you decide to go with memory foam, source it from a USA manufacturer.

How do you replace an Ikea removable foam mattress cover after you get it off?

I have one of the Poang chairs with a "removable" cover that I took off and washed…however, getting the foam part back in the cover proved VERY difficult, the foam does not just slide back in. Now the pad in the cover looks lumpy…I fear that the same, or worse, will happen with this Ikea mattress cover, as there is only a small opening on one end to get it out.

Help!

I too have a Poang chair, but I never wash it. Since I did not pay hefty premium I just end up getting a new one.

I stumble across a deal by MyRewardsVault.com seems to be giving $250 IKEA gift card that you might want to check out if you like IKEA furniture. I just filled up the form, all you need is a valid e-mail address.

What is a better mattress?

Which type of mattress is better Spring-Coil, Foam or Latex?

I am trying to decide the same thing. I live in a frost region and am told by TempurPedic mattress owners that although you sink into the mattress like a glove fits, when you go to move on a cold night, it takes a while for your body to re-sink into the mattress as it needs to warm up by way of your body Temperature to cradle you back into a comfortable position. I slept on a latex mattress and sweat all night long.

So, I am going back to plan A. Now I am researching Spring-Coil mattresses. I just watched a tv program on how things are made, a factory that makes BeautyRest mattresses was featured and inspired me to search them out. Don’t know if it’s Serta or Simmons, but each coil is separate and not connected to the any other coils, so it allows for independent support and movement. Hope this has been helpful.

Need Advice about Buying a Bed?

I am a college student and i am about to move into my own apartment and i am about to get a bed. I am by myself so I have to be extremely frugal therefore I need something that is not very expensive. I have considered getting a platform bed and even a fullsized bed and just the box springs. At one pt. I even thought about getting a foam mattress and even an airmattress. I am looking for something that is super cheat but is going to last me quite some time. What would you suggest I get. I was really interested in getting a foam mattress but I don’t know how those work and if I need a box spring from them. Need some advice, lol.

Here’s the mattress I am interested in getting.

That link showed a bed frame but no mattress. The bed frame is over-priced (in my opinion). I’ve seen them for half that price on other sites. You could save even more by buying one at a second-hand store or thrift shop. With that type of frame, you would need a box spring and mattress.

Another option that might be good for you is to get a memory foam mattress (they are very comfortable, I have one) and put it on a link-spring base. The memory Foam Mattresses have a much longer life expectancy than conventional mattresses and they are bug resistant.

A really good quality memory foam mattress will be on sale on May 19 at QVC.com. It will be their annual super sale for sleep better month.
Another low-cost store for memory foam mattresses is Overstock.com.

What brand of memory foam mattress is the best?

I am a light sleeper and wake up when my boyfriend moves around in the bed. I’m also a side-sleeper and sometimes I get cramps in my shoulders due to a regular mattress. I just think that a memory foam mattress is a good idea. Plus, we want a bigger bed. Thank you!

Tempur-pedic is the market leader in terms of support and technology in the memory Foam Mattress market. Tempur-pedic has done extensive research and patented the construction of their mattresses. Their mattresses tend to sleep cooler than most memory foam mattresses because of their patented air flow system that is included in all of their products (except the OriginalBed). The memory foam they use in their comfort layers is 5.3 lb/ft3 and 7.0 lb/ft3 for their Tempur-HD foam which is used in the Rhapsody, Allura and Grand Beds. When looking at memory foam mattresses, you will want to consider the density of the foams they use along with the layering of those foams. This will allow you to better compare across brands.

Due the the inherent pressure relieving properties of memory foam, you should be able to sleep better on your side on one of these mattresses than on a normal bed.
