If you’re trying to market your mattresses then offer a couple of free ones to a big hotel chain and if they accept then you can get their endorsement. simple yes, it works. some will say no , but you’ll be surprised at the bigger chains accepting them. How do you think the bigger chains got bigger. By keeping most of their money of course. Think about it. makes sense right. Try it , all you gotta lose is a few mattresses and look what you’ve got to gain. Go for it. Good luck

The whole of my family have double sprung matresses from ikea. Seriously they are amazing!! The only problem is they’re too big for beds which arn’t from ikea, therefore you have to buy ikea beds which is also good because they are longer

I used to have an IKEA Sultan mattress and after 3.5 years of use it started to sag in the middle. I put a lot of time and effort in researching a new mattress and finally decided on Sealy Springfree latex (firm). When I tried it in the store it seemed like a perfect mattress and getting it at a deep discount sealed the deal for me. I got a floor model for a $1000, but now I’m regretting it since I can’t take it back. After the first two days of sleeping on it, my knees and hips are killing me. I have numbness in my right leg when I lay on it, and sometimes it even feels like it’s putting pressure on my ribcage, making hard to breathe. I rarely ever wake up at night, but for the last two days my sleep has been really restless. It also hurts when I sit during the day (hip, knee). I even tried it with Costco’s memory foam topper, but it’s the same.
Is this normal? I read that it takes time to adjust to the new mattress, but I don’t know how much I can take it. What should I do? HELP!

There are customers of so called mattress and box spring outlets that have requested floor model purchase and the customers never received the model - it wound up stored.
The name also indicates it is not a Sealy, but a "come-on."
Any legal mattress and box spring sales allows that in store test does not give accurate for how any are matched to a sleep platform. If it is a bona-fide retail, and a switch was made by unqualified employe, then going to the owner is your only recourse, unless you have an acqaintance that will give ‘em hell and demand return. Then you may have to pay a 5% restock, but the $50 dollars will be worth it. They should not charge a second delivery fee, nor subtract the fee from a return payment check.

Best in what way?

If you are looking for durability latex is better than memory foam. Plus there are to many variables here. Density, Ild, Thickness etc.

Comfort is suggestive to the buyer. Trust that little voice in your head telling you which one feels better and supports you best.

Price?

What are you looking for out of a mattress? Don’t let a bunch of people pick a mattress for you unless you would let them buy clothes for you without knowing anything about you. I am pretty sure you will disappointed with your purchase.

I suffer with back problems too & was recently advised by my gp to invest in a hard orthopaedic mattress.
I bought mine from Dreams. Bensons beds also do a range of orthopaedic mattresses

I just bought a Restonic Londonaire 5000 series bed from a local store for $1399 including frame. This is a foam type bed claiming 3 inches of 5lb memory foam with a 6" Latex foam core. The crazy thing is, I don’t see these bed ANYwhere online! I found the MFG’s website, but no prices. Anyone know about these? TIA very much for any help!

I have tried five mattresses in three years, including the Tempuer-Pedic, a Foam Mattress, and several inner-spring mattresses. I have also tried both thick and thin memory foam toppers, a featherbed topper, and a latex topper, and still get back pain and toss and turn, mostly from pressure points. I don’t like the fact that sleep number beds have that barrier in the middle, so I am considering a Dux.

I sell mattress for a living and no mattress is worth the money that dux wants. Have you tried a latex mattress. Not just a topper. In my experience a latex mattress should help with the problems that you have.

I know I’m kind of throwing off your consensus here, but, I don’t really like the foam ones. They really do break down over time and lose some of their lovely springiness.

I got a nice Sealy pillowtop last year, put a down "featherbed" mattress topper on it, and never wanted to get up. JC Penney sells both through catalog and online. Very very nice.
