Foam Mattress

I'm buying a new memory Foam Mattress for my new apartment, but I don't know which railings I should get. I love the look of a platform bed but metal railings are cheaper. Which works best for the mattress?

go with the platform. the rails won't support the memory mattress well enough; it's too heavy and the center will sag over time.

ideas on how to reuse old foam mattress?
