I have a king size tempur pedic mattress and want to cut it into two twins. Any ideas if that would work?

The mattress is basically foam so I dont see why I couldnt simply cut it in half. Just looking for suggestions or anything I might not have thought of
wouldn't it be easier to make him sleep on the couch?

I don't think that would work. Why don't you try selling it, then buying two new twin mattresses? That seems like a good way to handle your decorating problem.
