Is $2700 too much money to pay for a mattress?

I’m looking at a brand name king sized mattress with individual coils and memory foam. I saw it in the showroom of a major mattress store chain. It feels amazing to lie on. I really want it. But is this price too much to pay for what it is? It’s actually on sale (the original price tag was $3700!!!). Let me know what you think.
PS – This price is for the 3-piece set…not just the mattress.
In my opinion, there is no price you can put on a good bed. I invested a similar amount to that many years ago, and I have looked forward to going to bed every night, excellent investment. Here is a website with all kinds of info. Hope that helps.

the price is okay if it is stuffed with $20 bills. I’m sorry, but that is a ridiculous price for a bed.

I paid $2,400.00 for a mattress and boxsprings more than ten years ago — I turn the mattress frequently and have taken very good care of it. It looks like new and it’s still the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever had.
I’ve never regretted what I paid.

Its worth it if it is comfortable and well constructed. You spend 8 hours (ideally) of your day sleeping. When you put it in that context it seems worth it to spend a little more on a mattress.
