Memory Foam Mattress mold?

My daughter is 15 months and is delayed We have been suffering with Asthma for a long time. We have a serta memory foam matress. We turned over the mattress today to do some sweeping underneath and there was MOLD! Mold the entire size of the queen sized mattress. We have removed the mattress and put it outside. We took pictures and are calling the doctor tomm. Can this be used as a lawsuit?
the mattress is 3 years old. the baby just sleeps in the same room as us not with us.

I would venture to say yes.* Mold is extremely dangerous to your health.

Can I ditch my mattress and just use a memory foam topper or two as a mattress instead?

How is it the company’s fault for the mold? Does that mean if my house gets mold I can sue the builder? NO!!!!!!!!! Stop being so money hungry!

Actually it isn’t just memory foam that molds, but essentially all polyurethane foams used in all mattresses mold along with other materials used in building mattresses. It is actually a very common problem with all mattresses that is rarely talked about. Another reason why mattresses should be replaced every 8-10 years.

If you wanted a mattress that is mold and mildew resistant this was not your best choice. All natural latex rubber would have been a better choice.
