   I bought a queen foam memory mattress at a mattress store for $350.00 over a year ago. But, it has Alzheimer’s and lost it’s memory on the side I sleep on. So, I rotated the mattress around but now during the night, I roll over to the other side into the dent caused by the loss of memory. No joke! I don’t know if a more expensive mattress would be better, you’d have to talk to more people.

   Note: I live alone and sleep alone.

   If you live in the US, go to Overstock.com. I bought a 4" queen memory foam topper from them for around $100. They ship pronto, and the shipping cost wasn’t all that much. I’ve had this topper for about 3 years now, and it’s still like new.

   When I need household stuff, my first choice is always Overstock.com.

   Be very careful on the price issue. Most of the inexpensive toppers and mattresses are made in China. They use a oil base to make the foam and that is why people have the smell issue. Check out http://www.mattresshero.com they have foam that is made in the US with a soy base that does not have the odor issue or the quality issue.

   A queen size will run you from 482.00 – 1518.00 depending on what comfort level you desire. They make comparable Tempur-pedic models and offer free shipping and a 90 day sleep trial.

   Memory foam mattress price range from several hundred to over a thousand dollars. It depends on the brand, density, types that you choose. A cheap mattress may or may not be a good one. Go to the mattress store and try out the mattress. Heres an article on memory foam mattress buying tips. Hope it helps.
